Darling Fliss
Darling Fliss - A tribute to a brave bun
Fliss was 3 years old and had a terrible start in life - but she was rescued by Angie and Tracey and came to live with us We had her for 2 years and 9 months and she brought such joy, laughter and happiness into our lives
We won't be sad for her, she wouldn't want that - she only ever knew happiness from the moment she was rescued She was such a happy bunny, so full of fun and such a strong character She had her grumps but they where mainly for her dad
Every day I would say to her "Are you ready Sweetie?" and she would go bonkers turning herself inside out as she knew she was coming onto my knee She loved that special time when she would have her eyes cleaned, her groom and then she would snuggle up in my arms and snooze for ages. Sometimes she would be on me for 20 mins, sometimes over an hour - but how she loved that time - no matter how many times in a day we did that, the first time of a morning was always the most exciting time for her
We loved her so very much - we admired her bravery, we knew that her strong character kept her going and she defied all the odds
Here are some of her favorite things:
She loved getting all her toys and picking them up and putting them into her little cuddle cup - and then taking them all out again It's like she was doing her housework
She loved turning her cuddle cup upside down with her inside it so she would waddle around looking like a tortoise
She loved being carried around in her cuddle cup - and got the name of Boil in the bag Fliss
She loved food
She loved being groomed and stroked and really loved being kissed
She loved life and was just so happy - and that is how we will remember her
We don't regret for one minute taking her into our hearts or our home - we loved her unconditionally and would do anything for her She repaid us back a thousand fold by coping with severe disabilities and sticking two fingers up to those who thought it was cruel to keep her like she was. Fliss wanted to live and only passed due to her disabilities getting so severe that she called it a day. Stubborn to the end our little blossom
Fliss darling, you will be missed by so many - you had a lot of fans out there who loved you dearly.
We wish we could have seen your first binky - what a wonderful sight that would have been We wish we could have been there to see your little face when you realised that you could actually see Oh it must have been wonderful to see the colours
We will always, always love you darling, and we will keep you in our hearts forever. Time will pass quickly for you and we will all be together again - we will then never be parted and can spend eternity with you and all your beloved brothers and sisters.
Be good and don't go picking on the boys We know you can be a grump when you want to be. Be happy little one, run free and know that you are loved forever

Night night darling, we all love you
